Knowledge and Scholarship

Our Mission

We promote the pursuit of Knowledge. It is the key to a fuller, richer life. We gain it through education, the harmonious development of the powers of the individual." --The Values of Phi Gamma Delta Many brothers maintain that knowledge is an “individual matter” and the Fraternity can do little or nothing to improve or hinder the performance of an individual member or pledges. The academic performance of each member is an individual responsibility, but such responsibility must be supported and stimulated by the chapter’s actions and systems. We understand that academics are important to our members and we offer many scholarships to undergraduate members to encourage support. During the pledging semester, we offer the AAA scholarship (Academic Achievement Award). This is a $250 monetary award given to all pledges who receive a 3.2 or higher scholastic GPA during their pledging semester. All members have the potential for more scholarships later in their collegiate career as well. Brothers can be awarded $500 for every semester they receive a 4.0 and/or if they had the most improved GPA any semester.
